Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has issued a request for comments on what it described as minor changes in SASO 2663/2012, Energy Labeling and Minimum Energy Performance Requirements for Air Conditioners.
Revealing that the standard covered room air conditioners, window, and 1:1 mini-splits, SASO added that the proposed changes affecting scope language, MEPS levels, and “Star” ratings are outlined at: http://images.magnetmail.net/images/clients/AHRI/attach/SASO_Proposed_Amendments.pdf
Comments should be directed to Abdulrahman Alabdukarim, at aa.abdulkarim@saso.org.sa, SASO informed.
Underlining that comments were due by COB June 18, SASO highlighted that due to the tight timeline, AHRI had not yet completed a thorough analysis of the proposal. It however encouraged AHRI members affected by these changes to comment to SASO, and copy Jim Walters at jwalters@ahrinet.org.
