Khalid Al Mulhim, Business Development Director of Suhaimi Design – Protecooling, says businesses are aligning themselves with Vision 2030
Dubai, UAE: Through Saudi Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia has set ambitious goals in its bid to shift away from being an oil-dependent economy to a diversified economy where the private sector has a huge role to play.
Businesses are aligning their strategoes and projects to help meet the targets as set forth in the Vision. Explaining what lies ahead for the HVAC industry in the Kingdom, Khalid Al Mulhim, Business Development Director of Suhaimi Design – Protecooling, predicts that the country is likely to witness a demand for the optimisation of cooling towers and chillers, upgradation of HVAC controls and BMS, an increase in demand for thermal storage tanks, pumping hydronic controls and solar-powered absorption chillers.
Al Mulhim also believes that there are plenty of opportunities in retrofits. “There are many opportunities to be identified in existing facilities, such as energy optimisation, energy audits, HVACR system performance enhancement, chiller plant energy optimisation, pumping system audits and energy management programmes.”
