Ambassadors endorse event as facilitator of international trade relationships in construction sector
Project Qatar launched the 11th International Construction Technology & Building Materials Exhibition on May 3 with a press conference at The Intercontinental Doha – The City. Announcing this through an official communiqué, IFP Qatar, the event organiser informed that Project Qatar 2014 will take place at the Qatar National Convention Centre from May 12-15, with the opening ceremony to be held on May 12 under the auspices of His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani, The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
According to IFP Qatar, Project Qatar includes “Qatar StoneTech 2014”, The 3rd International Stone & Stone Technology Show and “Heavy Max 2014”, The 11th International Exhibition for Heavy Machinery, as well as three specialised conferences (the PQ Conference Series) organised by Advanced Conferences & Meetings: “LightingTech Qatar” on May 12 and 13, “HVACTech Qatar” on May 14 and 15 and “Future Interiors Qatar”, that will take place on September 8 and 9.
In his welcome address, George Ayache, General Manager of IFP Qatar and Organiser of Project Qatar, introducing the event, said: “We are excited to enable companies to participate in its continued growth and welcome the support of the international community. We are also delighted to feature 24 international pavilions and we extend a very warm welcome to our newcomers this year – Indonesia, Palestine and Romania.”
IFP Qatar claimed that the event received endorsement from distinguished guests, who lauded its role as one of the Middle East’s most important exhibitions for construction, sustainability and building materials. Ambassadors to Qatar from Canada, The People’s Republic of China, France, Greece, India, The Republic of Indonesia, Korea, Turkey, Italy and Malaysia, were reportedly among the dignitaries who confirmed their country’s support and presence at Project Qatar.
