Leroy-Somer launches industrial alternators range

TAL series introduced at Middle East Electricity 2016, Dubai
TAL seriesAngoulême, France: Leroy-Somer Electric Power Generation, a division of Emerson, and manufacturer of industrial alternators, has announced the release of Leroy-Somer TAL – a new series of products dedicated to the commercial/industrial standby market. The announcement revealed that the TAL series, introduced at the Middle East Electricity 2016 held in Dubai from March 1 to 3, covers a range from 10 to 1000 kVA/kW, with six different products: TAL 040, TAL 042, TAL 044, TAL 046, TAL 047 and TAL 049. Leroy-Somer claimed that its engineering know-how has benefited TAL series by providing it superior reliability, compact design, easy installation and optimal electrical performance. The company said that it also displayed ControlReg at Middle East Electricity 2016, claiming it to be the first integrated generator set controller and automatic voltage regulator to hit the market, adding that it had been developed in partnership with DEIF, a generator control manufacturer. Listing its features, the company explained that ControlReg combines full-fledged generator set controls, such as start preparation, start/stop sequences and fuel level, with typical AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) features – voltage adjustment, U/f function, PID setting or motor soft start. ControlReg, the company informed, is being offered as a package that includes an industrial alternator, cables and the ControlReg generator set controller, making it, what it called “a complete solution” for generator sets manufacturers to ease and speed up assembly time and configuration.
