Supported by ASHRAE, Qatar Oryx Chapter, the district cooling summit’s theme this year is, Implementing district cooling to improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption in Qatari developments. District cooling has gained significance and momentum in Qatar with The Qatar World Cup Committee revealing its plans to construct air conditioned stadiums, even as developers and property owners are integrating the technology into their projects. IQPC’s Summit is expected to provide updates on the current challenges and issues facing district cooling projects in the country. The Summit will also offer opportunities to network with key Qatari property stakeholders, utility operators and district cooling experts, and will help players in the region benchmark themselves against successful regional implementation of district cooling. Discussing Qatar’s World Cup cooling infrastructure and getting an insight into Qatar’s zero carbon approach to the World Cup are added highlights, say the organisers. The Summit will bring together developers, district cooling providers, consultants, master planners, government ministries and environmental experts.
