January 9, 2018, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: The third edition of HVACR Expo SAUDI, from January 14 to 16 in Jeddah, is expected to draw 6,000 visitors, dmg events Middle East, Asia & Africa and MICE Arabia, the organisers of the event, said. It will feature more than 80 exhibitors along with 18 CPD-certified and complimentary workshops and the first high-level “EU-Saudi Arabia Energy Efficiency Meeting”, the organisers added.

The event will take place at the Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events. “The event is back with a 20% increase in terms of exhibiting companies, which are more than 80 this year, coming from across the globe to access the lucrative Saudi market”, said Event Director, Roni El Haddad.

With more than 70% of electricity being consumed for air conditioning and cooling in Saudi Arabia, El Haddad said, energy efficiency is a priority for the Kingdom’s construction and HVACR industries, and will take centre stage at the event.

On January 14, the event will feature the first high-level “EU-Saudi Arabia Energy Efficiency Meeting”, under the initiative of the EU GCC Clean Energy Technology Network and the European Union Delegation to Saudi Arabia, with the participation of SASO (the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization), the organisers said. The meeting will address collaboration opportunities between Saudi Arabia and the European Union on HVAC standards, certification and labeling, the organisers added. Defined as a “key initiative in Saudi Arabia” by SASO’s Vice Governor of the standards and laboratories, Abdullah Al-Gahtani, the meeting will facilitate dialogue on energy efficiency strengthening the competitiveness of the Saudi economy, the organisers further added.

The event will feature 18 educational workshops, which the organisers said, will promote best practices and innovative solutions for the Saudi HVACR industry. Spanning from the latest solutions for energy optimisation and better IEQ (indoor environmental Quality) to green technology HVAC systems and innovative chiller technologies for high-ambient conditions, the workshop sessions will be CPD-certified and free to attend for all visitors, the organisers added.

The main focus of the event will be the exhibition, featuring over 80 companies, including Carrier, which in November 2017, won the ‘GCC Region Manufacturer of the Year’, ‘Innovative Manufacturer of the Year (Chillers)’, and ‘Manufacturer of the Year (Air Treatment)’ at the Climate Control Awards. Among other products, the company will be showcasing its latest solutions for the Saudi built-environment, the organisers said.

“Carrier is delighted to support HVACR Expo Saudi as Platinum Sponsor for the third year running,” said Olaf Heynes, Carrier Saudi Arabia. “The event serves as an exceptional platform for us to discuss major trends and regulations within Saudi Arabia’s growing HVACR market. With a focus on energy efficiency at the forefront in 2018, we are excited to announce our upcoming certified workshop, ‘The way forward – Inverter Technology leading the trend of energy saving’, taking place on 14th January, which will involve active participation from the workshop attendees.”

Other companies participating in the exhibition include Zamil, Midea, HH Shaker and Johnson Controls, the organisers said. The event will be a platform for hundreds of HVACR products, including Ecofrigo’s refrigerated trucks and containers, Grant Ice Systems’ flake ice machine, J C Cooling’s curtain-type fire dampers and Williams’ air curtains, designed to keep built-environments free of airborne contaminants, the organisers added.

Sponsored by Carrier as Platinum Sponsor, Zamil as Gold Sponsor and supported by Samsung, Midea, HH Shaker and Johnson Controls, the event will take place along with FM Expo Saudi and Saudi Clean Expo.
