Hans Kranz inducted as BACman at the ASHRAE Winter Conference

Hans Kranz, recognised as the father of the standardised BA functions, has been covered in the latest edition of the BACnet Europe Journal

Dortmund, Germany: BACnet Interest Group (BIG-EU) has announced that Hans Kranz, one of the German founding fathers of the building automation industry, has been inducted into the “Control Trends Hall of Fame” as BACman at the ASHRAE Winter Conference, in Orlando. The news, the announcement informed, has been covered in the latest edition of its BACnet Europe Journal.

Hans Kranz, the announcement said, author of textbooks and a variety of technical articles on the topic of building automation, is recognised as the father of the standardised BA functions. BIG-EU revealed that he was the driving force behind the adoption of BACnet in the BA World Standard EN ISO 16484.

BIG-EU said that the latest BACnet Journal also carries selected references, such as the Aquis Plaza Shopping Centre in Aachen, Germany, the latest technological developments and news from the Group. It added that the Journal contains more information about the 10th BIG-EU Plugfest from 11th to 13th May, in Bern and about BACnet Forum Barcelona on October 10th, 2016.
