Fortum exploring opportunities to construct waste-to-energy plant in Indonesia

Company in talks with Jakarta-based infrastructure company, PT. Jakarta Propertindo

Espoo, Finland: Energy-based company, Fortum has announced that it has “non-bindingly” agreed with PT. Jakarta Propertindo, an infrastructure company owned by the city of Jakarta, to look into a possible cooperation to construct waste-to-energy plant in Jakarta, Indonesia.

According to its strategy, Fortum said that it is exploring investment and partnership opportunities in City Solutions in selected urban metropolis in Asia. It further revealed that its strategic priority is the consolidation of the generation business in Europe.
