Evoqua acquires VAF Filtration Systems to expand market reach

VAF says acquisition will help diversify the filtration solutions it has to offer

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania:  Colorado-based screen filtration manufacturer, VAF Filtration Systems, has announced that it has been acquired by Evoqua Water Technologies, and its recently acquired Neptune Benson.

According to the announcement, the acquisition pairs VAF’s self-cleaning, screen filtration systems with Neptune Benson’s media-based filters, including Defender Regenerative Media Filters, Vortisand cross-flow microsand filters and Legacy Sand Filters. The addition of VAF, the announcement added, bolsters Neptune Benson’s and Evoqua’s offerings within industrial and municipal markets, allowing the company to offer filtration solutions ranging from 1500 microns down to submicron filtration.

Together, the two companies — Evoqua and Neptune Benson — filter, disinfect, treat and improve billions of gallons of water in the industrial, municipal and recreational water markets.

“We are pleased to welcome VAF to the Neptune Benson and Evoqua family,” said Ken Rodi, President of Evoqua’s Neptune Benson. “This acquisition expands Neptune’s presence in industrial markets and complements our existing filtration product lines; allowing us to offer a media-free filter in applications that may not need the Defender or Vortisand’s level of filtration.”

Glenn Dobbs, President of VAF, added: “We are enthusiastic to join the Neptune/Evoqua team. This acquisition provides VAF Filtration additional resources, products and an increased presence worldwide to better support our diverse market channels.”
