ENOC announces new edition of Women in Energy Awards

Energy awards event returns to celebrate diversity in the energy sector, says ENOC
DUBAI, UAE, 2 October 2023: Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC Group) has announced the opening of the registration of its Women in Energy Awards, which aims to recognise women's achievements within the country's energy sector. Making the announcement through a Press release, ENOC said that inspired by H.H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman, General Women's Union (GWU), President, Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman, Family Development Foundation (FDF), the award aims to encourage and provide opportunities for Emirati women to strengthen their contribution to enable economic and social progress in the country. ENOC  said applications are open from October 1 to November 30 to female employees, both UAE nationals and expatriates, working in the energy sector in the UAE. The company further said that candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience working in the energy sector in the UAE. According to ENOC, Women Leaders in Energy, Women Innovators in Energy, and Women CSR Influencers in Energy are the three main categories of the awards. Furthermore, the company said candidates should showcase strong vision, leadership skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit in their entries. ENOC said the Women Leaders in Energy category covers four criteria: 'Woman Leader in Energy', 'Woman Leader in Driving Clean Energy & Renewables', 'Woman Technocrat Leader' and 'Woman Young Leader'. The company said the Women Innovators in Energy category includes 'Woman Innovator' and 'Woman Thought Leader', whereas the Women CSR Influencers in Energy category includes 'Woman CSR Influencer' and 'Woman Leading Volunteering Program'. Furthermore, ENOC said the inaugural 'Women in Energy Awards' first cycle witnessed several strong entries from government entities, including DEWA, RTA, and Dubai Municipality, and celebrated the longstanding achievements of women who have shown exceptional leadership and been catalysts for positive change in the industry.
