Empower briefs H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum on its advanced BB3 plant at WETEX 2016

Day 1 of the event featured latest technology in the sectors of energy, water and environment

WETEX PICDubai, UAE: According to an official communiqué issued by Empower, the company has displayed its third District Cooling plant (BB3), located in Business Bay in Dubai, on the first day of the 18th WETEX exhibition happening at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of DEWA.

According to the communiqué, H.E. Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, briefed H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE), and H.E. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), on the BB3 model during his tour at WETEX 2016.

The communiqué revealed that the event has featured, on day one, latest technology in the sectors of energy, water and environment, and also displayed were mega projects.

The company highlighted that Bin Shafar also stressed on the quest of Empower to make deals, establish partnerships and review latest technologies in energy, environment and sustainable development throughout WETEX. The company said that it also uses the show to get updates on the current and future projects happening regionally and worldwide, in addition to identify market needs and review opportunities presented by new programmes.

WETEX 2016 is being held under the umbrella of the third Green Week, and it coincides with the first Dubai Solar Show and third World Green Economy Summit (WGES).
