The District Cooling provider says that it is expecting more number of users in the coming years
Dubai, UAE: Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) has announced saving 1000 megawatts of power in 2016, equivalent to AED 2.6 billion. The company said that it has not only saved money but also consumed less energy and reserved environmental resources.
H.E. Ahmad Bin Shafar, Chief Executive Officer of Empower, also highlighted that the company was also saving on gas emissions and water consumption through its District Cooling services. “We at Empower,” Bin Shafar said, “work according to the guidelines of HH Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to reserve natural resources for generations to come. We are very committed to contribute in the national efforts aiming to reduce the use of conventional energy. This serves Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 that aims to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.”
He further said that the company’s will put more efforts towards “service efficiency to rationalise the energy use.” He added that the service provider is expecting higher users in the coming years who would prefer District Cooling technologies over conventional ones.
