Claims new product line achieves heating and cooling efficiencies

Emerson Climate Technologies’ Next Generation Copeland Scroll variable speed compressor line was honoured as the 2014 AHR Expo

Product of the Year in the “Cooling” category during the Innovation Award Ceremonies held on January 22 at AHR Expo in New York City. Announcing this, Emerson said that its new product line was chosen for recognition from among the top Innovation Award winners in 10 industry-related categories.

Emerson claimed that featuring the company’s second generation variable speed technology, the new product line can achieve cooling levels of 25+ SEER and heating efficiencies up to 13HSPF.

Giving details of the award, Emerson said that created by ASHRAE, AHRI and AHR Expo to recognise the most innovative and useful products among those on display at the Expo, the 2014 AHR Expo Innovation Awards competition celebrated its 12thanniversary. Entries were judged on the basis of innovative design, application, market impact and value to the HVACR industry, Emerson underscored.

The entry fees from the awards are reportedly donated to a local charity in the city where the Expo is being held. This year a total of $12,525 was donated to the Youth Action YouthBuild (YAYB) organisation in the East Harlem section of New York City, Emerson informed.

Congratulating this year’s award winners, Clay Stevens, President, International Exposition Company, which produces and manages the AHR Expo, said, “These companies deserve recognition for the innovative products they are creating and for leading the way in achieving a more energy-efficient and sustainable future.”
