EDEN PRAIRIE, United States, 25 March 2024: Manufacturer of humidity control, evaporative cooling, and water treatment products, DRI-STEEM Corporation (DriSteem), announced the release of a new buyer’s guide. Making the announcement through a Press release, DriSteem said the guide is designed to assist tobacco processing facility managers and owners in understanding effective humidity control strategies.

DriSteem said proper humidity control is crucial for maintaining the quality of tobacco products throughout the curing, storage, and processing stages. The company said that the process of controlling humidity helps preserve tobacco quality and prevents issues such as mould growth, insect infestation, and deterioration. Furthermore, DriSteem said, uncontrolled relative humidity levels can also negatively impact the weight of the materials, directly impacting profitability.

DriSteem said the guide explores the benefits of humidity control for tobacco processing facilities and the solutions it offers that can alleviate these issues. The company said DriSteem Adiatec® evaporative systems utilise the principle of evaporation to add moisture to the air, creating a beneficial cooling effect in some stages of tobacco processing. Furthermore, DriSteem said that steam humidification systems like DriSteem’s RTS® and GTS® LX humidifiers offer precise control over humidity levels and can be used during the curing and processing of tobacco leaves, and added that DriSteem Evair® dehumidifiers can control and reduce humidity levels throughout the tobacco production process.

Dristeem said the buyer’s guide for humidity control in tobacco processing facilities can be downloaded from www.dristeem.com or by clicking the link below: https://d2tsmyh31fn7w8.cloudfront.net/public-documents/docs/buyer-guide/Buyers-Guide-Humidity-Control-for-Tobacco-Processing.pdf
