Nordborg, Denmark: Danfoss has announced that its T2 expansion valve turned 50 in March and, concurrently, the company set a milestone record when the 50 millionth T2 valve rolled down the production line in its production facilities in Nordborg, Denmark. Danfoss Middle East, the announcement added, will celebrate the T2 anniversary during the 2016 Dealer Meet on May 17, along with its distributor in Dubai, Technical & Trading (TTE).

With the T2’s long history as a safe and reliable choice for Danfoss customers, it has served as the foundation for further expansion valve innovation, said Danfoss.

Calling T2 “a game-changer for Danfoss”, Danfoss TMA President, Levent Taskin, said: “It continues to be sold worldwide for use in a variety of refrigeration and air conditioning applications. Throughout its long lifetime, many competitors have tried to copy it. However, no valve has surpassed or outperformed the Danfoss T2, which is expected to enjoy continued market success for years to come.”

Danfoss revealed that later this year, it will launch the first-ever hermetic stainless steel electronic expansion valve, the ETS Colibri, targeted for use in air conditioning applications.
