Sturgis, Michigan: United States-based Burr Oak Tool, which designs customised production machinery for the heat transfer and tube processing industries, has announced that it participated in the 23rd International Compressor Engineering Conference, the 16th International Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Conference and the 4th International High Performance Buildings Conference that was held from July 10 to 14, 2016, at Purdue University’s Ray W. Herrick Laboratories in West Lafayette, Indiana.

According to the announcement, Burr Oak Tool’s white paper, “An Evaluation of Pressure Expansion Method for the Manufacturing of Copper Tube Heat Exchangers” — co-developed by Roger Tetzloff, Oak’s Innovations Manager, and Optimized Thermal Systems (OTS)  — was presented as part of the Heat Exchanger Design, Manufacturing, and Operational Impacts session, held on July 13.

The company said that it was the first time that Oak’s collaborative research had been presented at the conference, which has continued to serve as a setting for the exchange of ideas, information, and new research related to refrigeration technology, compressors and high-performance buildings since 1972.
