BASF names Dr Udo Huenger as VP for Middle East and Egypt operations

Dr Huenger will be responsible for driving BASF’s new corporate strategy in the region, accelerating growth and building relationships with key stakeholders, says company’s representative

Dubai, UAE, 30 January 2019: BASF has announced the appointment of Dr Udo Huenger as the new Vice President for Operations in the Middle East, Egypt and Iran, through a Press communiqué. He will be based at BASF’s regional headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the communiqué said.

According to BASF, Dr Huenger has held several leadership positions in the company, most recently as Director of Refining Catalysts for Europe and the Middle East. In his new role as Vice President in the Middle East, he will be responsible for driving BASF’s new corporate strategy in the region, accelerating growth and building relationships with key stakeholders, the communiqué said. He has more than a decade of experience with the company, the communiqué further said.

Dr Markus Kramer, President of Europe, Middle East, and Africa, BASF SE, said: “We are pleased to welcome Dr Udo Huenger to his new role. He has a keen understanding of the region and our business that spans almost every industry in the Middle East. We are confident he will add significant value in spearheading our next phase of growth in the region.”
