BASEL, Switzerland, 18 October 2020: Axalta Coating Systems has introduced Alesta AP QualiSteel for powder-coating of hot dipped galvanised steel. Making the announcement through a Press release, Axalta said the coating offers benefits coaters have been looking for.

Axalta claimed that the coating has excellent degassing properties and a good flow, which ensures “a superb surface appearance”. It also has the ability for fast and reliable curing at low temperatures, which enables energy savings and an increase in productivity, Axalta said. The coating has “very good” UV- and humidity-resistance, according to QUALISTEELCOAT specifications, which provide longer lifecycles of coated parts, Axalta said.

According to Axalta, Alesta AP QualiSteel is typically used for coating steel structures and machine components, among other applications.
