Atlanta, Georgia, USA, October 8: ASHRAE will be organising a technical programme that will focus on how to reduce the ecological impact of the built-environment and integrated design, the society said through a Press communiqué.

The programme is part of the 2018 ASHRAE Winter Conference will be held from January 20-24 at the Palmer House Hilton, Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Speaking of the programme features, Michael Collarin, Chair of the 2018 ASHRAE Winter Conference, said: “The technical programme will provide attendees with the information they need to reduce the ecological impact of our built-environment and integrated design on the world around us.

“It will feature seven tracks that focus on resources to design, build, control, commission and operate facilities and infrastructure that need to not only be efficient, but resilient.”

He further added that the tracks will be on Systems and Equipment, Fundamentals and Applications, Standards, Guidelines and Codes, Earth, Wind & Fire, Tall Buildings, Modeling Throughout the Building Life Cycle, and Heat Exchange Equipment.

Collarin further added that ASHRAE would also be offering two programme mini-tracks on refrigerants and residential buildings, on January 21 at the AHR Expo 2018.

According to the communiqué, ASHRAE will also be offering 20 courses as well as two full day and five half-day seminars during the conference days. The credits acquired from the courses can be used towards a professional engineering license. Further details of the courses can be found on the society’s website.
