Registration open for AHRI 2014 conference

The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) will share the results of its Low-GWP Alternative Refrigerants Evaluation Program (AREP) a day before the start of the ASHRAE Winter Conference in New York City. Announcing this, AHRI revealed that the industry-wide cooperative research programme will identify and evaluate promising alternative refrigerants for major product categories, including air conditioners, heat pumps, chillers, ice makers and refrigeration equipment. AHRI pointed out that the AREP will conclude this year, allowing Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), national laboratories, and universities to share detailed information and test results at the forthcoming conference.

According to AHRI, the one-day conference will take place at the New York Hilton Midtown, 1335 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY, 10019, the site of the ASHRAE Winter Conference, on January 16, 2014. The registration fee is $200 before November 1, 2013 and $300 on or after November 1, 2013 AHRI informed. It has provided the following URL for registration: https://netforum.ahrinet.org/eweb/DynamicPage.aspx?Site=ahri&WebKey=a126175c-f185-4cd9-b376-3e442e365c59&RegPath=&REg_evt_key=f8e11179-ddcb-40ba-a9a3-075dfba874ba.

AHRI highlighted that registration cancellations will incur a $50 administrative fee, and that refunds would be provided, less the $50 fee, if AHRI receives notice of cancellation via email to Brittany Buchanan (bbuchanan@ahrinet.org) by December 22. After December 22, no refunds will be given. AHRI said that those seeking more information could contact Brittany Buchanan at: bbuchanan@ahrinet.org.
