Event to also throw light on the use of hydrocarbons
Frankfurt, Germany: Small scale applications for refrigeration and HVAC that are operated with natural refrigerants will be the focus of the eurammon Symposium Schaffhausen 2017, to be held on June 22 and 23, at Klostergut Paradies, Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
This year´s highlight, according to an announcement on eurammon’s website said, will be the use of hydrocarbons. Furthermore, participants, the announcement said, including operators, planners and manufacturers, will get valuable information about statutory regulations, energy efficiency and specific requirements for the safe use of natural refrigerants from international experts.
Large refrigeration plants, eurammon revealed, operating with natural refrigerants, such as ammonia, have been a long-standing standard in the industrial refrigeration industry. But the use of natural refrigerants, it highlighted, is also gaining ground in small refrigeration systems due to the current legal environmental framework and new technological possibilities. “Especially for small applications up to 200 kW, natural refrigerants are not only environmentally-friendly and sustainable but also a very efficient economic solution,” said Bernd Kaltenbrunner, Chairman of eurammon.
Speakers, the announcement said, will illustrate by means of precise practical examples just how economically efficient systems can be operated with natural refrigerants, and in which application fields refrigeration systems operating with hydrocarbons, for example, are already successfully established.
